Player Ratings – Millwall 2, Cardiff City 2

Neil Etheridge

I don’t understand why the Bluebirds recalled Etheridge ahead of Smithies, who has been in good form. Both are quality goalies, but Smithies was the man in possession and playing well. Etheridge still struggles with his kicking, but remains sharp and produces big saves 6

Lee Peltier

Let nothing through down City’s right-hand side. Harried well and stymied any progress down that wing 6

Sean Morrison

What on earth was Morrison thinking before Millwall’s second equaliser. He seemed to switch off and allowed a striker to go through on goal. Flint might have reacted quicker to help his defensive partner, but it was a defensive disaster 5

Aden Flint

It wasn’t a good evening for City’s central defender. There were too many errors. They have too cut those out – Bamba is back and itching to play. Big decisions ahead 5

Joe Bennett

Was under pressure for 90 minutes and struggled too deal with the danger 5

Joe Ralls

I want to see more from Rallsy. He is an energetic, influential, box-to-box midfield player, but he struggled at Millwall. Strong defensively, but he has great ability going forward and we didn’t see enough of that 5

Marlon Pack

Pack has made a difference for City since he made the move from Bristol City, but this was far from his best evening. Conceded possession far too easily 5

Lee Tomlin

I love watching Tomlin. He has tricks and big passes at crucial times. His back heel which released Hoilett before his goal was genius. Tomlin has to start at Swansea 7

Gavin Whyte – Man of the Match

The two star players for City at Millwall were Hoilett and White. Whyte has massive potential and he will be a major player over the next season or so 8

Junior Hoilett

When he’s in this mood, Hoilett is one of the City’s most dangerous players. Produced a gorgeous cross for Ward’s goal and slotted home beautifully after Tomlin’s backheel 8

Danny Ward

Selected ahead of Glatzel and scored with a clinical finish from Hoilett’s cross. Has he done enough to keep his place at Swansea? I’m not sure 6
