Cardiff got their first points on the board this season with a 2-1 win at the Cardiff City Stadium against newly promoted Luton Town. There were plenty of encouraging signs, so what did Cardiff fans have to say about the match?
Praise for debutant Marlon Pack
Pack is so calm in possession, Great addition #CARLUT

Marlon pack has showed people what he can do after only one game! Hoping for vassell and glatzel to kick on from yesterday! Roll on reading⚽️#Bluebirds

Marlon pack was fantastic looked like another captain out there speaking to the ref all the time we have lacked that leader in midfield since gunners left

Another ex-Bristol City player earned plenty of plaudits too
Aden Flint would header a brick if he had to

I might be a little bit in love with Aden Flint after that performance today 😍💙 #CardiffCity #CityAsOne #bluebirds @AFlint4

Fans were impressed by Robert Glatzel too
Glatzel just looks a better player already, quick good touch and awareness and runs the channels and puts pressure on defenders, everything you’d want from a striker let’s just hope he can do the main thing and chip in with plenty of goals https://t.co/PwcszPNcHs

He was underrated on Saturday glatzel first game with team mates did well won the ball made a menace of himself just need chemistry knoe and here’s our 20 goal striker
— ccfc (@ccfcharry) August 11, 2019
… don’t think he’s up to it personally, hoilett a lot better in my opinion. Glatzel showed some lovely touches and linked up well but hope he can get a goal in the next game or two as it’s always a confidence thing with strikers. Vassell looks powerful too

But some fans weren’t totally convinced by Cardiff’s display
I will say this though; there are more warning signs than signs of encouragement. Cardiff have been stripped of most of their class, and they were never the classiest to begin with. You could really feel it in those first two games and they will need to find a way to compensate

So glad you've said this.
I thought with the signings we made last summer, we'd come down and be an overgrown Championship club knocking on the door.
Feels we've reverted to our Championship punching above our weight persona.

Absolute rubbish football, played off the park today but ground out that result, as I expect us to do all season
