It feels churlish, perhaps even disrespectful to be revisiting football at this stage but here we are. After Warnock’s emotional press conference, Cardiff City now face the task at hand. An away trip to the Emirates under a cloud of complete disbelief at the events of the past 10 days. Arsenal won’t be sure what state of mind the players they are coming up against will be in – but alas, the show must go on.

What to watch out for
Who plays and who doesn’t. With Warnock, perhaps candidly, talking about the state of mind of the squad, he eluded to the fact that a few players had trained badly and a few players had been hit really hard by the tragic events. Who starts, who sits on the bench, and who doesn’t even feature in the squad is very much a mystery.
News from the Emirates
They’ve got loads of good players. Lacazette and Aubameyang put us to the sword earlier this season and both have been pretty good this season. They’ve also got a former Cardiff City hero in Aaron Ramsey who should be playing every game for Arsenal.
One saving grace is perhaps that Arsenal looked leggy on Friday night in their cup game against Manchester United. A couple of players went off injured too and could be doubts for our fixture.
Best case result
An absolute miracle. Out of the darkness, could come light. We win 2-0.
Worst case result
It’s hard to know how the players can perform in the circumstances. It could just all be too much. We lose 3-0.
